Dana’s Bio…

One of my greatest passions is sharing my nutritional knowledge with people and seeing the positive impact in their lives. I first became interested in nutrition and how our body processes food in college, when I was first diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I soon, realized how connected our food is to our energy levels, digestion and overall well being. I received my BA in Psychology as an undergrad, and am currently completely my MA in Holistic Natural Health and Nutrition. My psychology knowledge has helped many clients, as I can help identify and work through triggers that surround our moods and food choices. As a mother of 3 young children, I know firsthand how important it is to lead a good example in my house, when it comes to my food choices, regular exercise and an overall balanced approach on life. Not only am I very aware of the food choices that I provide to my family, but I am very conscious of a family budget; together we can get your family on the path to superior health.

My areas of specialties are: pre & post natal nutrition (with a focus on lactation), infant and childhood nutrition, weight loss and maintenance, couples nutrition and food allergies (how to handle them and still live). My eldest son Connor has a severe peanut allergy, when he was first diagnosed I felt very overwhelmed and helpless. If you or anyone in your family suffers from a food allergy I understand what you are feeling and going through, as I have had these same feelings. We will work together to implement strategies around food choices, so you don’t feel paralyzed or helpless by the allergy.

As a nutritional coach, I want to inspire, motivate, challenge, educate and encourage individuals and families to lead a mindful and balanced life. This is accomplished through nutritional coaching and guidance, meal planning, & working with individual triggers that surround our moods and food choices.  While working with me, you will gain a deeper understanding of food and how it affects your overall life.
